Hello 👋 ,
I'm Juli Karn,

UX/UI Designer Based in Bay Area, California

Currently open to new opportunities.

Hello again! I’m Juli Karn, a UX/UI Designer with a unique journey from General Microbiology to digital design. Born in Nepal, I earned my master’s degree from Bangalore University, India. My career began as a Research Associate at Genpact, where I focused on identifying Key Opinion Leaders for pharmaceutical clients. Then my path shifted towards wet lab work, leading to an observership at an HLA typing lab at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, India.

A significant turning point in my career came when I joined Triotree Technology as an Onsite Implementation Consultant in Kerala, India. This role sparked my passion for software applications and UX/UI design. At Triotree, I led iterations for various modules, including lab management within HMIS and the design thinking and wireframing of leave management modules for HRIS. My experience also includes expertise in using OTRS for bug tracking at Optum. I have excelled in gathering constructive feedback from various stakeholders, including end users.

After relocating to the US with my family, I refined my soft skills while managing family life. I completed over 700 UX/UI training hours with Springboard, which deepened my design expertise.

Currently, I am working as the sole UX/UI designer at  CareAsOne, where I am redesigning the UX and UI of the platform to expand hiring services for caregivers and build a networking platform for everyone involved in senior care, including caregivers, senior care companies, and patients/families seeking care. Additionally, I assist the CEO with building and iterating the pitch deck, one-pager, and partnership proposal. I also support the CRO with marketing materials by creating sales banners, flyers, Zoom backgrounds, marketing SMS, and contact forms. Furthermore, I have designed an in-house platform for writing and publishing blogs to support SEO.

Outside work, I enjoy hiking, comedy nights, reading, and swimming. Music from the black-and-white era, 80s and 90s, and my folk songs are my soul soother. Podcasts about love and compassion inspire me.
